Klorigen High Strenght Sodium Hypochlorite generator
PARAMETERS
KLORIGEN ON-SITE CHLORINE GAS GENERATION
Elemental chlorine gas delivered on demand
System operates at or below atmospheric pressure
Safe – no storage and no cylinder handling Cost effective
Reliable - same electrochemical process as used by major chlor-alkali companies (PPG, Olin, Dow)
Membrane-grade NaOH is produced at 15% as co-product in chlorine generation
Addresses the “political cost” of keeping chlorine gas

KLORIGEN HIGH STRENGTH ON-SITE HYPO PRODUCTION
Membrane cells eliminate routine anode fouling and eliminate any requirement for acid washing
Hypo generated at concentrations up to 15% (150 gpl)
Eliminates need for bulk transport and excessive storage
High purity and less degradation than bulk supplied product
Very stable cost structure
Product typically generated at significant cost savings over commercially available hypo
Hypo product meets NSF/ANSI Standard 60 specifications
KLORIGEN GENERATED CHLORINE GAS + HYPO (“Hybrid”)
All of the benefits and features associated with retaining chlorine gas for disinfection
High strength hypo can be generated as reliable low cost “back-up” in case of power loss or system failure, for shock dosing applications and/or for transport to smaller plants
Both products are directly compatible with commercially supplied alternatives
Operating cost is less than any other on-site alternatives
Easily retrofitted into existing installations

SODIUM HYDROXIDE (NaOH) CO-PRODUCTION
Sodium hydroxide is produced at a rate of approximately 1.12 kg NaOH per kg of generated Cl2
NaOH is high quality “membrane grade” caustic and can be used elsewhere in the plant or sold commercially
NaOH product produced as a 15% solution
Primary WTP/WWTP purposes for NaOH are odor control and pH adjustments
